Lowen Corporation Hosts a Field Trip

Trinity Treasures is a daycare located in Hutchinson, Kansas. Each day, the group takes the kids on a different field trip. Usually, these field trips are to our major attractions like the Underground Salt Museum and the Kansas Cosmosphere as well as frequent trips to local pools.

Today, however, was a little bit of a different adventure. With kids age 5 through 12 in tow, Trinity Treasures stopped by the Lowen Corporation offices to learn about how we help to produce graphics for some of their favorite and most recognizable brands. More importantly, they got to learn a little bit about the printing process and see first hand how it’s all done.

The field trip began with a quick overview of the history of Lowen. We showed pictures of some of the graphics that we’ve done. One of the most notable photos was the Lowen IT van, all the kids said that they’ve seen it around town.

Next, we took our guests through the Production plant where they were able to see some of the graphics being produced. This was a favorite since it shows ice cream decals.

Next, we gave each person a bunny rabbit decal so they could practice weeding it. We were so impressed with their work, we might have to start recruiting them soon

Check out this awesome job! Once the material was peeled away, a single bunny rabbit decal was left behind. This was something the kids could take home with them.

And we learned from the left over material that the decal could be used as a shirt decoration too!

Finally, hard work paid off because everyone was able to enjoy a popsicle after the tour concluded. When we asked one person what they learned they said, “That Lowen has been around since 1950 and that they make a ton of signs!” Someone was really paying attention!

We enjoyed having the brief field trip with Trinity Treasures and hope that it offered some relief to the Kansas heat wave we’ve had this summer. It’s always a nice change of pace to have some young minds around the office.
