  • Is There Room for Vehicle Customization Wraps in Our Industry?

    Yes, yes there is. In fact, it’s all about how you sell it. As graphic installers, we know the benefit of using a vehicle wrap compared to painting and we are all guilty of using it on at least our vehicles. If we were to name all the items in our homes that we’ve wrapped,
    we could be here for days. But you see the point- the market is there.

    So the next question is how do you sell it? Well, that’s simple- show people the benefits. Why custom paint your vehicle, if you’ll want to change it in a matter of a couple of years? Why NOT wrap a PS3 and give it away as an even cooler Christmas gift?

    Take your talents and your ideas to local trade shows. Do live demo work at a car show. Advertise in publications that target the group you are trying to hit- Hotrod magazine,
    Lowrider Magazine, AutoTrader, Race Tracks and after market parts mags can be a
    big hit for you. If you want to start small, then talk to your local publications or billboard reps.

    The best way to get out there and influence your audience is to educate them of what’s possible. Right now, advertising and commercial wraps are popular, because businesses
    know they can use them. If your ‘ordinary joe’ audience isn’t responding to your ideas now, then get out there and educate them.
