There have been a lot of new trends popping up in the wrap industry within the last year- that alone shows how powerful this industry is becoming. Now more than ever, people are turning to vehicle wraps before paint jobs.
One trend that I’ve seen is the New Concept Car, some of which has already been hitting the road with the new Hyundai lineup and some still in progress like the new Toyota/Subaru team project “FT-86.” These cars are using very sleek styling elements usually found on ultra high end super cars like the Lexus LFA, BMW M1 and Bugatti Veyron.
What they’re doing with them now, is implementing these design elements into their entry level vehicles sold to the average consumer in the U.S. In my opinion, this implies that un-printed specialty films that are not meant to cover the body with cartoony designs, but rather use them sparingly to accentuate the body lines, will continue to grow like crazy in these next couple of years.
People who wrap their vehicle are looking to transform what they have into something awesome. Taking vinyl film and using the new concept car model, I see will become even more popular. For the installer, this means keeping up with the trends and being able to offer their customers something that hasn’t been seen before. Also, it’s going to take a good vehicle wrap training background in order for it to be done correctly.
